New Honda City 2017 to launch on 14th February

Honda Cars India has officially announced to launch the new-generation Honda City 2017 on 14th of February 2017. The company has already started its pre-bookings at all authorized Honda dealerships with a booking amount of Rs 21,000. The new City will get a stylish new look and new features including new LED package, more safety package and a new AVN system etc.

New Honda City 2017 features detail:

The new Honda City will now come with the redesigned bumper which gets a three part air dam, bolder front grille with the honey-mesh grille, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels (15-inch alloy rims in middle grades), LED taillamps, revised bumpers and boot-mounted rear spoiler with LED brake light.

Inside the cabin, it will be equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system with ‘black and silver’ themed cabin, electric Sunroof with one-touch open & close, a 5-inch or a 7-inch infotainment unit which support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity and navigation system. It is also expected to come with automatic climate control, rear parking sensors with parking camera, leather seat upholstery. The safety features like dual front airbags, Anti-lock braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).

New Honda City 2017 technical details:

The new Honda City will be available with the same 1.5-litre i-Vtec Petrol and the 1.5-litre turbocharged i-Dtec diesel engines. The petrol engine can generate 119PS of power at 6600rpm and 145NM of torque at 4600rpm while the diesel engine will produce 100PS of power at 3600rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1750rpm. The petrol engine might be mated to a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission and the diesel engine is available in six-speed manual transmission.

Honda City other details:

Honda City first introduced in January 1998 in India and it becomes one of the most popular sedans in India. According to company it has a cumulative customer base of over 6.5 lakh owners. The 4th generation Honda City has sold 2.24 lakh units in the India, since its launch in January 2014. With the launch of new Honda City 2017, hope to add another success story of the model.

The refreshed version of Honda City will compete against the Maruti Ciaz facelift, the Volkswagen Vento, Hyundai Verna and the upcoming Toyota Vios.
