New face-lifted Honda Jazz launched in India

Honda Siel India on August 18, 2011, launched the new face-lifted Honda Jazz in India. The car’s exterior flaunts of new improved styling, while its interiors offer better enhanced features. Available in three variants namely Honda Jazz, Honda Jazz Select and Honda Jazz X (with manual transmission), the Honda Jazz base variant bears a price tag of Rs. 5,50,000, while its middle and top models cost Rs. 5,75,000 and Rs. 6,06,000 respectively.

In terms of its cosmetic changes, the car has a better looking grille, a freshly designed aerodynamic front bumper, new highlights with silver and black matt finish and a new rear bumper. As for its interiors, the colour has become a shade darker and to provide ultra comfort to its passengers, a new feature has been introduced in the car where the rear seats can be reclined.

Jazz X also has some value added features such as the electrically retractable outside rear view mirror and an audio system that comes with a standard USB port. In addition to the existing colours (Taffetta White, Alabaster Silver, Crystal Black Pearl and Rallye Red), the new Jazz will also be available in a new colour, Urban Titanium. The new Jazz retains its four-cylinder 1.2-liter i-VTEC engine and churns a maximum output of 90PS @ 6,200 rpm and a Torque of 110 Nm @ 4,800 rpm.

Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Mr. Seki Inaba, Director Marketing, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd., said that the company has been focusing a lot on localization and cost down activities for its volume models through the R&D function in India. He added that the attractive pricing for the new Jazz is expected to help the company expand its customer base.
