New 3.0 TDV6 diesel engine announced for the new Range Rover

Range Rover India, the Indian arm of the British brand Range Rover owned by the Indian car manufacturer Tata Motors has introduced a new 3.0 TDV6 diesel engine for its latest Range Rover offering in India.

The new 258PS 3.0-litre TDV6 diesel is claimed to be more refined and highly efficient. The engine is paired with smooth tuning of the electronically controlled ZF 8 speed automatic gearbox which is also known for its exceptional fuel economy and responsive gear shift.

According to Mr. Rohit Suri Vice President Jaguar Land Rover India, the new 3.0-litre TDV6 diesel engine will help boost the sales for the new range of Range Rover in the Indian car market. With the addition of the new engine option, the Range Rover is now offered with three engine choices.

The new 3.0-litre TDV6 diesel engine provides a maximum torque of 600Nm and is capable of taking the car from 0-100 kilometers per second in 7.9 seconds. The car model with the new engine is available in two trim levels, namely the HSE and Vogue.
