The Mercedes-Benz India is going to roll out the Mercedes C-Class Grand Edition to celebrate 50,000th car from Chakan plant on 28, January 2014. The company Grand Edition indicates 50,000 sales milestone reached in carmaker’s journey.

Chakan town in Pune district and state of Maharashtra unit of Mercedes-Benz is currently assembles the C-Class, ML-Class, GL-Class and the E-Class and company also plans to assembly of the new generation S-Class in near future.

The company not announced any details of this new upcoming. I am guessing that it may offer in 2.2-liter C220 CDI diesel engine. The 2.2 liter diesel engine delivers 170 bhp of power and 400 Nm of maximum torque with 7-speed automatic transmission.

It will be also fully loaded with features and exterior and interior changes, sport minor visual updates in the form of slightly updated front grille, new badges and probably a new set of alloy wheels. On the inside, the car would feature bespoke upholstery and some additional equipment.

I am expecting its price would be extra approx Rs. 60 to Rs. 80,000 from regular variants.
