Mercedes-Benz India Sales in November 2011

Mercedes-Benz India has recorded positive growth in the second half of 2011, posting 31% growth year on year (January – November 2011: 6698 units; January – November in 2010: 5110 units). This is encouraging performance against the backdrop of an overall slowdown in the Indian auto industry.

Driving the growth trajectory were a number of pioneering initiatives and launches that Mercedes-Benz India had undertaken this year.

The recently launched C-Class continues to be the star performer for the Company by maintaining its leadership over the segment.

Mercedes-Benz India has also aggressively expanded the Tier II network by going closer to the customers in cities like Raipur & Nashik. In November alone, the company inaugurated new facilities in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Ludhiana and Mumbai. This extends the network to 61 touch points across 29 cities.

Through ‘Star Lease’ (launched October 2011), the company now offers customised leasing solutions for the Indian market.

The globally benchmarked pre-owned car program, ‘Proven Exclusivity’, now enables more customers achieve their dream of owning a Mercedes-Benz.
