Mercedes Benz India, the Indian subsidiary of the German luxury carmaker Mercedes Benz has inaugurated its first dealership in Rajkot (Gujarat) at an investment of Rs 7 crore. The new facility is spread across an area of 21,000 square feet and will house the entire range of nine cars by the carmaker.
With the addition of the new outlet, the German automaker now has a total of 58 dealerships across 33 cities in India. According to Mr. Eberhard Kern Managing Director and CEO Mercedes Benz India, the year 2013 has been favorable for the automaker as it has launched new auto products and entered new markets and segments.
The German carmaker is further planning to strengthen its presence in the Rajkot region as it is a key emerging market for luxury cars in the state of Gujarat.
Mercedes Benz has refreshed its objectives for the Indian market and announced 2013 as the year of offensive with the aim of climbing to the top position in the Indian luxury car segment.
