The German auto major Mercedes-Benz has launched the GL-Class ‘Grand Edition’ luxury SUV in India further expanding the company’s portfolio in India. The newly introduced SUV has been priced aggressively with two variants, namely the Executive variant at Rs. 60, 99,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) and the Luxury variant at Rs. 65, 50,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The standard features as part of the new SUV are the 4matic all-wheel drive, Direct-Steer system, Airmatic air suspension and the Adaptive Damping System ADS. The SUV is also equipped for off-road driving with the handling control systems including Off-Road ABS, Hill-Start Assist and Downhill Speed Regulation (DSR).
Among other luxury features are the Parktronic and Comand APS system equipped with a reversing camera and Thermotronic luxury automatic climate control which enables different temperate zones for front and rear passenger seats. The ‘Grand Edition’ seven-seater SUV features light-alloy wheels with 50.8 cm (20-inch) tyres apart from two tone leather seats. The third row of seats can be controlled electronically for enhanced convenience.
