Mercedes-Benz India, the Indian subsidiary of the German luxury car maker has introduced the new C Class AMG Performance Edition with a price tag of Rs 34,62,609 (Ex-showroom Mumbai) in line with its growth strategy for the Indian auto market.
According to Mr. Debashis Mitra Director (Sales & Marketing) Mercedes-Benz India, the company is targeting the top position in the luxury car segment with the launch of the new sedan. The company’s strategy involves redefining the luxury sedan segment and launching new products for expansion and network penetration. He stated that with this strategy and new marketing initiative, the company expects to increase its market share in the Indian luxury car segment.
Mr. Mitra further added that the company has lined up new B Class cars for launch in the second quarter of the 2012-13 fiscal.
Meanwhile, the company is also banking upon its car financing arm offering ‘Star Lease’ for easier options and affordable rentals covering insurance and maintenance costs.
