Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) last week launched a new version of its SUV, the Grand Vitara. The new Vitara comes with a more powerful, 2.4 litre petrol engine and both manual and automatic transmission. It is priced between Rs 16.67 lakh and Rs 17.97 lakh. Maruti Suzuki’s Executive Officer, Mayank Pareek, said that the advanced version of the Grand Vitara will cater to the rapidly growing market for SUVs in India, and will offer the ‘best in class 4X4 drive at a highly competitive price’.
