Maruti Suzuki India’s production increases 31 percent in July 2013

Maruti Suzuki India, the largest car manufacturer in India has increased its production by 31.07 percent in the month of July 2013. The 99,236 units were rolled at the production facilities of the carmaker in the month in comparison to 75,709 units produced in July 2012.

While the mini car segment including the Alto, the A Star and the WagonR witnessed a production increase of 19.15 percent, the production of compact cars such as the Ritz, the Swift and the Estilo went up by 56.46 percent.

The production output of the carmaker in the compact sedan segment comprising the DZire and the SX4 sedans increased by 86.4 percent.

The company registered total sales of 1.3 percent in the month of July 2013 selling 83,299 units in comparison to 82,234 units sold in July 2012, while the domestic sales grew by 5.8 percent in the month.
