Maruti Suzuki India to recall 69,555 vehicles

Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest car manufacturer has announced that it will be recalling 69,555 cars in order to rectify a potentially faulty wiring harness issue. The recall affects diesel car manufactured between the dates March 8, 2010 and August 11, 2013.

The recalled vehicles will include car models only from the compact segment, namely the DZire compact sedan, the Swift compact hatchback and the Ritz hatchback. According to a statement by the carmaker, the dealers will be contacting the car owners and will be carrying out the inspection of the faulty wiring and the requisite repair free of cost.

The statement also said that the fault was noticed during feedback monitoring and internal checks by the automaker.

The Maruti Suzuki diesel car owners can also log onto the company website www.marutisuzuki.com to check if their vehicle belongs to the recalled set of vehicles.
