Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest car manufacturer has launched a VXi trim variant of the Alto 800 car model in the Indian car market at a price of Rs 3,13,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Alto 800 VXi trim model with metallic paint option is available for Rs 3,17,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new trim variant is priced about Rs 13,000 – Rs 14,000 higher than the price of the existing Alto 800 VXi and features all power windows and central locking apart from left side rear view mirror, a rear spoiler and other add-ons over the LXi variant.
The Alto 800 car model is an entry level small car which is powered by a 796cc petrol engine providing 48bhp and 67Nm of torque. The new Alto 800 launched in October 2012 is claimed to be more spacious than the earlier model and features improved fuel efficiency by 15 percent.
