Mahindra registers 17 percent growth in auto sales in 2012-13 fiscal

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), the Indian SUV manufacturer has posted a 17 percent growth in its total auto sales figures for the fiscal 2012-13. The automaker sold a total of 5,63,373 units in the year in comparison to 4,83,164 units sold in the fiscal 2011-12.

The SUV manufacturer registered a growth of 11 percent in its sales for the month of March 2013, selling 51,904 units in the month in comparison to 46,919 units sold in the same month in 2012. The domestic sales of the carmaker also grew by 11 percent at 49,225 units compared with 44,260 units sold in March 2012.

The sales in the passenger vehicle segment of the automaker including the utility vehicles and the Verito sedan grew by 13 percent selling 25,847 units in March 2013 in comparison to 22,961 units sold in the same month in 2012.
