Indian SUV manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced a new entry level model of its sports utility vehicle XUV500 at a price of Rs 10,83,000 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The new entry level model has been launched in response to the feedback received from the customers, claims the carmaker.
The new variant of the XUV500 is equipped with a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine which is mated to a 6-speed transmission and offers 140bhp of power and 330Nm of torque. The SUV is capable of going from 0-60 kilometers per hour of speed in 5.4 seconds and is claimed to have a fuel economy of 15 kilometers per liter.
The new features included in the new entry level variant W4 include dual tone interiors, integrated music system, 6-way adjustable driver seat and fully foldable seats in the second and third row. Additionally, the W4 also features the fuel efficient micro hybrid technology which also enables lower CO2 emissions.
