Mahindra launches automatic variant of new Scorpio

India’s leading SUV manufacturer, Mahindra has launched an automatic variant of its new generation Scorpio. Available on the top-end S10 variant, the automatic offering is attractively priced at Rs. 13.13 lacs ex-showroom Delhi, for the 2WD.  The Scorpio is now the only SUV in its class to offer a 6-speed automatic transmission, and it will also be available with an optional 4WD system.

According to Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive, “The Scorpio broke new ground when it was launched more than a decade ago and since then we have regularly upgraded the Scorpio to ensure that it stays relevant. At Mahindra, it is our constant endeavor to make advanced technology more accessible and affordable to our customers. In fact, the Scorpio was the first Indian SUV to launch an Automatic transmission in 2008 and, now, we offer our customers an automatic option on Scorpio’s New Generation Platform. I am sure that the New Generation Scorpio Automatic will be an instant hit with our customers and further enhance the appeal of this iconic brand.” Launched in September 2014, the New Generation Scorpio has been built on an all-new platform with Cushion Suspension and Anti-Roll Technologies and comes with contemporary, more aggressive exterior styling, luxurious blue-grey interiors and advanced tech features.
