Mahindra KUV100 launched

Mahindra have launched a brand new compact crossover vehicle called the KUV100. The KUV100 is Mahindra’s latest contender as they enter the segment to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Swift DZire and the Hyundai Grand i10. The car has been priced at Rs. 4.42 lakhs and the diesel version for Rs. 5.22lakhs. The car is powered by an 1198cc, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 82bhp and 115Nm of torque. The petrol mFalcon engine claims a fuel economy of 18.15kmpl. The car also gets an 1198cc, 4-cylinder/ turbo charged common rail engine that produces 77bhpand 190Nm of torque. Mahindra claim that the diesel version is the most fuel efficient diesel SUV in India with 25.32kmpl.

The diesel engine also gets a Power/Eco mode option for choice of driving preference to the driver, and it also gets the Micro-Hybrid technology. The interiors are available with 5 or 6 seating options with an option for a three passenger front seat. The car also gets safety options such as dual airbags, and ABS with EBD. Other features in the vehicle include bluetooth audio and handsfree calling, steering mounted audio and phone controls, BlueSense App compatibility, Follow-me-home headlamps, lead-me-to-vehicle headlamps electronically adjustable ORVMs and remote keyless entry.
