Mahindra First Choice targets 1,00,000 used cars sales by 2015

Mahindra First Choice Wheels, the used car division of the Indian utility vehicle manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra has set a target of selling 1,00,000 units of used cars in India by 2015. Its target for the fiscal 2012-13 has been set at 45,000 units.

According to Mr. Yatin Chadha Vice President (Operations and Network) Mahindra First Choice Wheels, the company expects to sell 45,000 used cars which will result in a boost of 35 percent growth by the end of 2012-13 fiscal.

In the 2011-12 fiscal, the company had sold 34,000 units of used cars with a growth of 25 percent over the 2010-11 fiscal. The company is also considering increasing the number of its outlets to 50 from 45. The company has a market share of 11 percent in the organized sector of the pre-owned car market in India.
