British car maker Land Rover is set to launch the Range Rover Evoque in India on November 4, 2011. The new car has supposedly being used in ‘Bond 23’, the new Bond movie set to release in 2012. As claimed by the company, the Evoque is the smallest and the lightest in addition to being the most fuel efficient SUV manufactured by Range Rover. It also holds the Scottish Car of the Year 2011 title.
The new SUV will be offered in three model variations, the Pure, the Prestige and the Dynamic, the Dynamic variant will be a three door petrol coupe. It will also feature two body styles, the Evoque and the Evoque Coupe. Powered by a 2.0 litre petrol or a 2.2 litre turbo diesel engine mated with a six speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifts engineered for a higher fuel efficiency, the SUV is a four wheel drive.
The Evoque Si4 petrol variant engine is a lightweight all-aluminium unit and is enabled with the direct injection technology and advanced turbocharging along with twin independent variable valve timings. The new car also features Drive Select which is an advanced rotary gearshift with steering wheel mounted paddle controls.
