KTM mean business in India

When the Austrian bike maker brought its much hyped Duke 200 motorcycle into the country there was much talk about how it would change the motorcycle market in India. The entry-level half naked sports bike did sell well but it was operating in a segment that already existed. Hence it want really a game changer, it was more of a added ingredient to the small performance segment in India. The Duke 200 was available for Rs 1.17 lakh ex-showroom in Delhi and that was quite a steal for a foreign bike, even if it was almost 90 percent indigenously manufactured.

However, KTM have just brought in another exciting product, and as promised by Bajaj Probiking, who are their Indian partners in their Indian venture, the new product is one of the most exciting launches for India in a very long time. The Duke 390 was eagerly awaited in the market and now it is finally here and also it is available at a very attractive price of just Rs 1.8 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. This is the game changer that Indian biking enthusiasts have been waiting for. The Duke 390 comes with a four-stroke single-cylinder, 373.2cc engine that can deliver almost 44bhp, so that means it packs quite a big punch and it is now the only entry-level mid-sized performance bike available in India. It competes against nothing that can come close to it and with its price range it is sure to be a huge game changer.
