Kawasaki launches Z1000 and Z250 in India

Japanese bike makers Kawasaki have recently brought in the new models of their entire lineup to India and now they have also added the new BS-IV variants of the Z1000 and Z250 to their Indian portfolio. The updated Z250 is now BS IV compliant and is priced at Rs 3.09 lakhs, while the Z1000, also BS IV updated, carries a price tag of Rs 14.39 lakhs and the Z1000R will cost you Rs 15.49 lakhs. All prices ex-showroom Delhi. The good news is, the updates haven’t affected the power and torque ratings. The Z1000 continues to make 139bhp and 111Nm from a 1,043cc inline four-cylinder engine. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. The Japanese bike maker claims to have made some tweaks to the ECU which has resulted in a smoother power delivery.

The Z1000R is a sportier version of the litre-class naked offering and even though it uses the same engine with identical power and torque ratings, it is differentiated by new body graphics. It also gets special disc brakes exclusive to the ‘R’ version. Just like the Z1000, the Z250 too doesn’t see any changes in its final output. It continues to come with a 245cc parallel-twin motor that churns out 31.5bhp and 21Nm of torque.
