Jaguar Land Rover records its best ever monthly and quarterly global sales

Jaguar Land Rover, the British automobile manufacturer owned by the Indian auto group Tata Motors has recorded its best ever monthly and quarterly global sales with growth of 16 percent and 17 percent respectively.

Jaguar and Land Rover collectively sold 53,772 units in the month of March 2013 and 1,15,504 units in the first quarter of 2013. While Jaguar garnered sales of 9,856 units for the month of March 2013, Land Rover posted 43,916 units in the month, the best ever single month sales figure for the brand. The quarterly sales for Jaguar were 20,210 units while that of Land Rover were 95,294 units.

According to Mr. Phil Popham Group Sales Operations Director Jaguar Land Rover, the automaker has been witnessing continued year on year growth after the introduction of the new car models, namely the Jaguar XF Sportbrake and the Range Rover and the Range Rover Evoque.
