Jaguar Land Rover to expand dealerships in India

Tata owned car brands Jaguar Land Rover has announced its plans to expand its dealership network in the Indian car market from 15 to 20 dealers in the fiscal 2012-13. The British luxury car manufacturer opened its 15th dealership on July 28, 2012 in Pune in partnership with Ace Perkins.

The company is planning to compete with the German bands such as BMW and Audi with the help of expansion of its dealer network, stated Mr. Rohit Suri Head of Premier Car Division at Jaguar Land Rover India. Currently, Jaguar Land Rover has presence in 13 cities in India majorly in the metro cities. He added that cities such as Bangalore, Surat and Aurangabad are being considered for the company’s dealership expansion drive.

The company will also be launching two new car models in the Indian luxury car market namely the Jaguar XJ Ultimate and the Jaguar F2 seater sports car.
