India-bound Renault Megane Sedan unveiled

The Renault Megane Sedan is an all-new three box car that will be replacing the aging Fluence sedan from markets worldwide. The Megane is the third model of the fourth-gen Megane range, joining the hatchback and estate models. French car maker Renault has announced that they will first sell the new sedan in 20 countries in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Australia, and it is also reported that the new sedan will also be brought to the Indian shores by 2017.

The new Megane looks stylish and more modern than the outgoing Fluence, and Renault claims that it looks and drives like a car from a segment above. Depending on the market, Renault will offer two petrol and three diesel engines with the sedan. The petrol engines will comprise of the SCe 115 engine, paired to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic, and a TCe 130 motor with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic or a 6-speed manual gearbox. Three diesel engines will also be offered, namely the dCi 90, dCi 110 and dCi 130. The former two are available with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a dual-clutch automatic, while the dCi 130 engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
