Hyundai ramps up Grand i10 production to lower waiting period

Hyundai India, the largest car exporter and the second largest car manufacturer in India has increased the production of the newly launched Grand i10 hatchback car model. The step has been taken by the Korean carmaker in order to address the increase in demand and consequently the waiting period for the car.

According to Mr. Rakesh Srivastava Senior Vice President and Division Head (Marketing & Sales) Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), the carmaker is recalibrating the production to make faster deliveries and reduce the waiting period of the new car model.

About 1,31,000 enquiries have been received about the Grand i10 hatchback by the carmaker since its launch in September 2013. The automaker has received booking for 13,000 units till now. Mr. Srivastava stated that 8,411 units of the Grand i10 have been dispatched and 4,500 pending booking orders remain.
