Hyundai plans big for India.

India’s second largest passenger car maker, Hyundai Motor India Limited inagurated a new dealership in Bangalore. This will be dealership no 13 in Andhra Pradesh and 54 in southern region.

The dealership covers an area of 55,000 square feet and is one of the biggest sales, service and spares facility for Hyundai

Hyundai currently has a total dealership of 230 in the country which is expected to grow to 300 by end of 2008.

Hyundai also has a wide range of vehicles to be launched in India in a couple of years starting with i20 this year.

Hyundai plans to come out with a diesel variant of its small car i10 by early 2009. Apart from these cars, they would be launching their premium SUV Santa Fe, LPG variants of the compact car Santro and sedan Accent.
Hyundai is targeting total sales of 580,000 cars, of which 420,000 will be small cars in 2008. While, the share of Santro is forecasted to be 140,000 units, the balance will be i10 and i20 models.
