Hyundai India launches new Fluidic Elantra 2012 at Rs 12,51,000

Hyundai Motor has launched the new Fluidic Elantra 2012 in India at an entry price of Rs 12,51,000 on August 13, 2012. The new premium sedan is available in both petrol and diesel variants and total of 7 variants. The petrol variants has been priced between Rs 12,51,000 to Rs 14,24,000 (Ex-showroom Delhi) while the diesel variants are priced between Rs 12,91,000 to Rs 15,85,000 (Ex-showroom Delhi).

The new fluidic premium sedan will compete with the likes of the Chevrolet Cruze and the Toyota Corolla in the mid-size sedan segment.

Equipped with a 1,797cc petrol for the petrol version and a 1,582cc CRDi diesel engine for the diesel version, the premium sedan is also available with both manual and automatic transmission. The petrol engine offers 149.5PS @6,500 rpm and a 181Nm of torque @ 4700 rpm while the CRDi diesel engine offers 128PS @ 4000 rpm at 265Nm of torque between 1,900-2,750 rpm.

According to the claims by the company, the diesel version of the sedan offers a mileage of more than 22 kilometers per liter and the petrol version delivers a mileage of 16 kilometers per liter.
