Hyundai i10 gets a facelift

Koren car maker, Hyundai have just revealed the new i10, which isknown as the Grand i10 in India. The car will make its debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. What we know is that the hatchback now boasts of new safety and connectivity features as well as modern design upgrades, including a new front grille, which also houses new round LED daytime running lights. At the rear, Hyundai have resigned the bumper with a black inlay housing new circular shaped fog lamps and chrome embellished tail lamps. The side profile has received minimum changes with only new plastic moulding and also gets redesigned 14-inch steel or alloy wheels.

On the inside, the new Grand i10 gets a dual tone red-black combination and sports a new touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and connectivity features like both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additional focus has also been put on safety and the car is now equipped with active safety system like the Front Collision Warning System and a Lane Departure Warning System using camera assistance. With a lot of talk in safety issues in India, we will have to wait and see if the Indian model gets these features.Hyundai will retain both the 1.2-litre, 80bhp Kappa petrol powerplant and 69bhp, 1.1-litre CRDi diesel engine. While the latter is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission, the petrol comes with both 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox.
