Honda India showcases Mobilio MPV and Jazz hatchback at Delhi Auto Expo 2014

Honda Cars India, the wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda has unveiled a new multi purpose vehicle, namely the Mobilio MPV and the 3rd generation of the Jazz premium hatchback at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014. The carmaker will be launching the showcased cars in India by the fiscal 2014-15.

Honda has developed the Mobilia mid-size MPV exclusively for the Asian car markets and is capable of seating a total of 7 people in a three row seat configuration. The new Jazz will cater to the premium hatchback segment and is designed based on the earlier model of the Jazz.

Commenting about the Indian car market, Mr. Takanobu Ito President and CEO Honda Motor stated that India is an exciting market for Honda and the carmaker expects to achieve 3,00,000 unit sales annually in India by the fiscal 2017.

The Japanese automaker also unveiled the Vision XS-1 crossover utility vehicle, the NSX Concept car and the Accord Hybrid car models at the Auto Expo.
