Honda SIEL Cars India (HSCI) the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese auto major Honda has made a comeback in the month of February 2012 posting a growth of 82.8 percent in its car sales in comparison to the same period in 2011. The sales figures of the company in February 2012 were 8,856 units against the 4,843 units sold in February 2011.
According to Mr. Jnaneswar Sen HSCI Senior Vice-President (Sales and Marketing), the company is engaged in resuming the normal production of the company in India which was disrupted in 2011 due to earthquake in Japan and floods in Thailand.
Out of the total sales, the majority shares were contributed by its sedan Honda City selling 6,052 units and the newly launched Brio small car with 2,046 units.
