Honda India recalls 2nd Gen City sedan

Honda India, the wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese carmaker Honda is recalling 42,672 units of the second generation City sedan car model in India to replace defective power window switches. According to the automaker, the power window switch is prone to malfunctioning because of water through the driver’s window.

The car models recalled by the Japanese car manufacturer belong to the production year 2007-08. The current model of the City sedan doesn’t require any replacement, states the company.

The replacement of the faulty switch will be free of cost for the car owners and will be carried out across India at Honda dealerships. The carmaker will be contacting car owners individually in a phased manner to inform them about the replacement recall.
