Honda Siel Cars India, the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese car manufacturer Honda has announced its plans to double the number of its customers in India by 2017. The company currently has 5,00,000 customers in India and targets raising it to 10,00,000 customers by 2017.
According to Mr. Hironori Kanayama President and CEO of Honda Siel Cars India, the company is targeting 10,00,000 customers by 2017 with the view that India has a huge potential being a dynamic market. He added that the car models like the City sedan and the Brio small car by the company are expected to be the primary growth drivers.
Mr. Kanayama stated that the company has ambitious plans for India and envisions becoming the number one automaker in the country.
The company has been ranked number two in India in terms of customer satisfaction according to a JD Power and Associates study, number one being Maruti Suzuki.
