Honda CR-V SUV launched by Honda India at Rs 19,95,000

Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL), the wholly owned Indian subsidiary of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda has launched its new version of the Honda CR-V SUV in India. The new version of the SUV is cheaper than the existing car model by up to Rs 2,70,000.

The new SUV features two variants, one with a 2 liter petrol engine and the other powered by a 2.4 liter petrol engine and are priced at Rs 19,95,000 (ex showroom Delhi) and Rs 23,85,000 (ex showroom Delhi) respectively.

With the launch of the revamped CR-V and a new pricing strategy, the Japanese automaker expects to strengthen its presence in the Indian car market. Present at the launch of the 4th Generation Honda CR-V SUV was Mr. Hironori Kanayama President & Chief Executive Officer HCIL.

Commenting on the launch of the SUV, Mr. Kanayama stated that the duty benefits on the new CR-V are being transferred to the customers. The new SUV is currently being assembled in India at Honda’s Greater Plant in Uttar Pradesh.

He added that the company has been working on new car models and plans to launch these new product offerings from its global portfolio in the next few years.
