GM India opens new Technical Assistance Centre at Talegaon

American car maker, General Motors, has announced the opening of the new Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) at Talegaon. This is the first time in India that GM has come out with a dedicated TAC function. The centre will assist all Chevrolet dealers across India to resolve customer product concerns fast and efficiently. With the launch of this centre, GM has also established a Single Point of Contact at each dealership known as the Tech-E – or Technical Expert – who will ensure that any customer concern is resolved at the dealership – if required with the help of the TAC.

The TAC helpdesk acts as a remote assistance centre and is further supported in the field by Chevrolet Field Service Engineers who are available to all dealers for on-site support. In total 10 people are dedicated to this operation at the time of starting. The Technical Assistance Centre aims to ensure service quality excellence by providing the best technical support to Chevrolet’s channel partners to make sure any product concern is resolved and Chevrolet dealers deliver the best in class customer experience.
