General Motors India, the Indian arm of the American carmaker General Motors (GM) is targeting the market leadership in the Indian SUV car segment with the Chevrolet Captiva. The SUV has an entry level price of Rs 18,74,062 (Ex-Showroom Delhi).
The company is in the process of expanding the number of sales and service points across India with the opening of 300 new service outlets by the year 2013. According to Mr. Lowell Paddock President and Managing Director GM India, the automaker is now operating with a focus on expanding its presence in the Tier II and Tier III cities in order to cater to the increase in demand from semi-urban and rural areas of India.
Moreover, with the aim of improving its customer services, the company has launched a centralized 24×7 call center to cater to customer queries related to its car products and services. A breakdown helpline has also been introduced by the automaker apart from its Chevy U-First free service camps for an improved and efficient customer engagement.
