General Motors India to launch Enjoy MPV in May 2013

General Motors India, the wholly owned Indian subsidiary of the American automobile manufacturer General Motors (GM) plans to launch the new Enjoy multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in the Indian automobile market in the month of May 2013.

The American automaker is banking upon the space, styling and design of the new MPV to garner sales in the Indian auto market. The new MPV which is being tested at the company’s Halol facility will be introduced with both petrol and diesel engine options.

While the petrol version of the new MPV will be equipped with a 1.4 liter engine, the diesel version will feature a 1.3 liter multijet diesel engine by Fiat.

The Enjoy MPV has been developed by GM in collaboration with the Chinese automaker Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC) as part of their joint venture and already sells as the Chevrolet CN100 in global markets.
