Car manufacturer Ford India announced the third phase launch of Roadside Assistance Service (RSA) in Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore and Jaipur. The RSA initiative provides Ford customers with a hassle-free driving experience in and around the city. The company has already launched these services in nine major cities including metros and with the addition of four more cities, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Coimbatore, the total number of cities having such facilities has gone up to 13 and thus covering 60 per cent of Ford car owners in the country.
Ford Service Roadside Assistance programme comprises a fleet of two types of vehicles including flat bed trucks and emergency response motorcycles. The flat bed trucks allows consumers to get vehicle carried to the service centre and get them repaired without the accompanying damages generally experienced during the towing of cars.
The scheme includes free roadside assistance for a period of two years from the date of sale of any new Ford car sold by authorized dealers, effect from April.
For the owners of old Ford cars, retail packs of Ford Service RSA can be bought at a nominal cost from their respective dealerships.
