Ford Classic Titanium launched by Ford India at Rs 6,86,000

The American automobile manufacturer Ford’s Indian arm, Ford India has introduced the Ford Classic Titanium in the Indian auto market. The sedan is a new variant of the existing Fiesta Classic sedan and has an entry price of Rs 6,86,000 (Ex-showroom Delhi). Available in both petrol and diesel versions, the sedan features beige interiors and alloy wheels apart from Bluetooth and seed sensing volume controls in the music system.

The top end of the new variant is priced at Rs 7,82,000 (Ex-showroom Delhi). The new sedan with a lower price range will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire and Toyota Etios sedans. According to Mr. Michael Boneham President and Managing Director Ford India, the new Ford Classic attempts to democratize technology by including various technologies such as Bluetooth at an affordable price.

With the launch of the new Classic variant, the company expects to garner higher sales from the Indian auto market. The sedan segment in the country has been witnessing a higher growth in comparison to the industry growth rate. Ford India is pinning its hopes on the higher growth rate in the sedan segment to boost its sales and increase its market share in the industry.
