Fiat launches 500 in India

Italian car maker, Fiat has launched its new car 500 in India. 500, created by the Fiat Style Centre is a small 3-door, 355 cm long, 163 cm wide and 149 cm high.

Powered with a 1.3 Ltr Multijet engine with 75 bhp of power output at 4000 rpm and a peak torque of 145 nm at 1500 rpm , the 500 ensures the greatest driving pleasure and an impressive performance in fuel efficiency. The 500, available in two trim levels – Lounge and Sport will be a imported completely built unit.

The Fiat 500 will be sold & distributed by Tata Motors through the new Fiat dealer network in six cities (Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh and Pune). The car will be made available in eleven colours at Rs.14,82,500 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Rajeev Kapoor, CEO, Fiat India Automobiles Pvt Ltd, said, “The launch of the Fiat 500 fits perfectly in the Indian context as the company is going through the process of transformation. We are confident that this car, with it’s stylish looks, economical consumption figures, exceptional safety features and green credentials, will win a place in everyone’s hearts.”
