Fiat India opens new showroom in Mumbai

Fiat India, the Indian arm of the Italian automobile manufacturer Fiat has opened a new showroom in Mumbai. The new showroom, Esskay Motors was inaugurated by Mr. Nagesh Basavanhalli President and MD of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India Operations and Mr. C. K. Parkash Chairman and MD Esskay Motors.

The new facility has a floor area of 8,500 square feet which has a capacity of showcasing 4 cars. It also includes a workshop spread across 18,000 square feet. The showroom will be displaying the 2013 Fiat Punto and the newly launched Fiat Linea.

Commenting about the new showroom, Mr. Basavanhalli stated that Mumbai is a strategic market for Fiat and the new facility will enable the carmaker to strengthen the customer base in the region.

The carmaker is also planning to launch two new cars, the Fiat Avventura in India in August 2014 and the Fiat 500 Abarth in second half of 2014. The automaker has also set a target of opening a total of 150 showrooms by the end of 2014.
