Delhi Spring Polo Season 2011 – Team Jindal Polo Lift The Cavarly Polo Cup

Team Jindal Polo emerged winners of Cavalry Polo Cup in association with Cartier beating Carnoustie-Cavalry by 7 goals to 6 in the match played today at the Jaipur Polo Ground.

The match of Cavalry Polo Cup in association with Cartier was played between Team Jindal Polo and Carnoustie-Cavalry. Both teams were 11 goals each combined well and displayed superb of horsemanship. Col Tarun Sirohi opened the account for Team Jindal Polo at very beginning of 1st chukker while Lt Col Navjit Sandhu opened the account of Carnoustie-Cavalry by converting a 30 yard penalty. In the 2nd chukker Samir Suhag converted two 30 yard penalties while Sirman Shergill and Jagdeep Kairon scored one goal each for Carnoustie-Cavalry. In the 3rd chukker Samir Suhag converted two penalties (one 60 yard and one 40 yard) while Lt Col Navjit Sandhu and Maj Ravi Rathore scored one goal each for Carnoustie-Cavalry. The score was 5 goals all at the end of 3rd chukker. In the last chukker Maj Ravi Rathore scored a goal for Carnoustie-Cavalry to increase the lead but Samir Suhag converted a spot hit and equalize the score. Samir Suhag again converted a spot hit and won the Cup. Scorers for Team Jindal Polo were – Samir Suhag (6), Col Tarun Sirohi (1). Scorers for Carnoustie-Cavalry were – Lt Col Navjit Sandhu (2), Maj Ravi Rathore (2), Simran Shergill (1) and Jagdeep Kairon (1). Teams were :-

In an earliest Exhibition Match Rissala Polo Club beat Nusantara Polo Club by 3 goals to 1. Col Tarsem Singh scored all 3 goals for Rissala Polo Club while Hariffar Muhammad scored one goal for Nusantara Polo Club.
