BMW – the most valuable automotive brand in the world

How do you decide which automotive brand is the most valuable? Well probably a company’s net worth is a good indicator, and that usually is the case when a market research company is the decider. Market research company Millward Brown, has just declared BMW as the most valuable automotive brand in the world and has also listed BMW in the Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands list. The German auto giant with a total estimated brand worth of $24.6 billion overtook Toyota this year which is valued at $21.8 billion, while Mercedes came in third at an estimated value of $16.1 billion. There is no doubt that BMW as a brand has flourished over the years and fought away all the competition even in hostile environments, while Toyota as a brand, despite being the largest car maker in the world, lost out because of the recent earthquakes in Japan that affected their manufacturing abilities and services.
