Audi retains the top position in the Indian luxury car segment

Audi India, the Indian arm of the German luxury car manufacturer Audi has emerged leader in the luxury car segment in India retaining the position in the period January-March 2014 with 2,740 units. The sales figures are the best quarterly sales for Audi India.

The luxury carmaker posted a 4.74 percent growth in sales in January-March 2014 period over the 2,616 units sold in the same period in 2013. The month of March 2014 also witnessed the carmaker’s best monthly sales figures of 1,404 units.

According to Mr. Joe King Head Audi India, the carmaker has achieved sales of 10,000 units in both, a single financial year as well as a calendar year and it looks forward t strengthen this position in India.

Mercedes Benz India ended the January-March 2014 quarter in the second position with 2,554 units.
