Audi India, the Indian arm of the German luxury car manufacturer has reported a growth of 17.8 percent in its sales for the month of October 2013. The automaker sold a total of 1,002 cars in the month in comparison to 850 cars sold in the corresponding month in 2012.
The carmaker’s sales in the period January to October 2013 grew by 15.4 percent with 8,393 units sold against 7,267 vehicles sold in the same period in 2012. According to Mr. Joe King Head Audi India, the October sales also mark the crossing of the milestone sales figure of 10,000 units sold in a year for the luxury carmaker. He added that Audi India is the first luxury carmaker to have crossed the milestone in India.
Audi India currently has a dealership network of 29 centers across India. It plans to open two more dealerships in November 2013 and targets expansion to a total of 34 dealerships by the end of 2013.
