The German luxury automaker BMW has entered the Uttar Pradesh car market in India with the launch of 2 new showrooms in the cities of Lucknow and Kanpur. The two new outlets has taken the total number of showrooms for the carmaker in India to 27.
The opening of showrooms in the state of Uttar Pradesh is part of the new strategy of the luxury carmaker to expand its reach to the emerging cities in India. Mr. Philipp von Sahr President BMW Group India stated that the company plans to expand its dealership network to the emerging cities to cater to the rising demand for luxury cars and to explore new opportunities in these areas.
The Lucknow dealership comprises a showroom integrated with after sales service facilities and service bays along with spare parts inventory. These showrooms will be operated with the help of service engineers specially trained at BMW’s training centers in Malaysia, Singapore and Germany.
