India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki will resume production at full capacity levels at its Manesar manufacturing facility by the middle or end of September 2012. The information was stated by Mr. Randeep Singh Surjewala Haryana Industries Minister who also added that the company will not relocate to any other location outside Haryana.
Mr. Surjewala informs that the automaker is planning to invest an amount of Rs 1,700 crore at its Manesar facility to set up the C-plant. The company’s Plant-A and Plant-B at the facility have already resumed production since August 22, 2012.
The Minister also emphasized the role of Haryana government and the efforts of the company management which enabled the company to lift the lockout at the facility. He claims that the industrial climate at the facility is still intact and stated that one unfortunate event cannot affect the investor’s faith in the state of Haryana the progressive economic environment it offers.
