German premium car manufacturer Audi has introduced the next generation of its Audi A4 in India with an entry level price of Rs 27,33,000 and up to Rs 38,00,000 (Ex-showroom Maharashtra). Priced almost Rs 60,000 lower than its predecessor, the premium sedan is the 8th generation of the A4 and is claimed to be more fuel efficient by 10-25 percent. The Audi A4 continues to have the longest wheelbase in the category.
The 1.8 liter TFSI powered Audi A4 is priced at Rs 27,33,000 while the 2.0 liter TDI version of the A4 has a price tag of Rs 29,38,000. The 3.0 liter TDI is available at a price of Rs 38,00,000 (Ex-showroom Maharashtra).
According to Mr. Michael Perschke Head Audi India, the A4 has helped the company to become the segment leader in the Indian market. He added that with the launch of A4 and the Q3 in June 2012, the company is targeting the top position by boosting sales and expand volumes.
