‘Ford Figo Bharat Yatra,’ Ford India’s largest activation drive across 1,000 cities in 20 states culminated in Jalandhar, Kochi and Bhubaneshwar on October 19, 2011. The drive kicked off in July this year (2011) to celebrate the success of the Figo and its sales of 1,00,000 units within 15 months and the company’s growing exports to 27 international markets.
The drive covered over 1,000 cities across 20 states with over 17,000 test drives and gave the prospective buyers a firsthand opportunity to get to know the about the features of the Ford Figo. According to Mr. Sriram Padmanabhan, Ford India’s General Manager (Marketing), “Impressive number of enquiries, on-spot bookings and thousands of test drives conducted during this Yatra clearly suggest that Figo’s value proposition of being a value-for-money vehicle continues to find resonance in the market.” He also added the company wanted to use Ford Bharat Yatra as a platform to reach out to people in smaller cities and “and thank them for making Figo the most popular car in its segment.”
The company is working on expanding its sales and service network to over 200 outlets by the end of 2011. Commenting about the same, Mr. Sriram stated, “We are trying to get closer to our customers and ensure a better service experience by rapidly growing our sales and service network.”
