Mercedes-Benz awarded the 12th spot in the list of top 100 Global Brands

Mercedes-Benz has been awarded the 12th spot in the list of top 100 Global Brands. The list was released by the consultancy firm Zintzmeyer & Lux on October 8, 2011. Apart from securing the 12th spot in the list, Mercedes-Benz has also bagged the position of the topmost ranked premium car manufacturing brand.

The first three spot were awarded to Coca Cola, IBM and Microsoft respectively. Toyota Motors secured the 11th place for itself in the list, making it the best car manufacturing brand in the world. Among other car manufacturers, BMW was ranked 15th, Honda 19th, Volkswagen 47th, Ford Motors 50th, Audi 59th, Hyundai 61st, Porsche 72nd, Nissan 90th, Ferrai 99th and Harley Davidson 100th.

Every year after consulting the consumers across the world, Zintzmeyer & Lux releases the list known as Interbrand. The Mercedes-Benz has been valued at $27.455 billion by Interbrand.
