India’s first super car – the M-Zero

M-Zero Super Car

We all know about the DC Avanti, but not many of you may have heard of Mean Metal Motors. This company is the brain child of 21 year-old Sarthak Paul, and it is currently developing India’s very first super car – yes, the DC Avanti is not a super car. The car is called the M-Zero and it is a hybrid. The car features an aerodynamic body made of light and cheap material, called “carbo-flax”. It will also feature a fingerprint-recognition system to start the engine and activate different driving profiles.

The car will be powered by a hybrid system that sees the pairing of a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo petrol unit with more than 500bhp and 700Nm of torque, with a small electric motor with a cooling liquid lithium-ion battery pack adding 250bhp and 270Nm of torque. The total combined output has not been disclosed yet, but the company insists that the vehicle will be able to accelerate from a standstill to 100kmph in less than three seconds, while top speed will reach 320kmph. The car will most likely make its debut at the Paris Motor Show in 2016 and it will most likely cost under $150,000.
