Skoda India has finally launched the refreshed version of 2016 Skoda Rapid in India at a starting Rs. 8.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Skoda Rapid gets sharper exterior styling with comfortable interior and smoother ride. The new Rapid is available in three standard variants – Active, Ambition and Style with manual transmission in both petrol and diesel engine, also two Automatic variant Ambition AT and Style AT will be available in both fuel options. The price for the petrol variant goes from Rs. 8.27 lakh upto Rs. 11.36 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) while the diesel versions will be available from Rs. 9.48 to 12.67 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Diesel Skoda Rapid is powered by 1.5-litre TDI CR engine that producing 110PS of power (5PS more over the previous version Rapid) at 4000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1500-3000rpm. The 1.6-litre MPI petrol engine continues to same 105 PS of power between 5200-5250rpm and 153NM of torque between 3750-3800rpm.
The vehicle measure 4413 mm in length, 1699 in width, 1466 in height , 2552 mm in wheelbase and it has 163 mm of ground clearance.

The new Rapid comes with new angular projector headlamps, grille with a wider chrome outline, featuring a wide ‘butterfly’ grille with black vertical slats, chrome-finished inserts and small strip of LED DRLs, and a cleaner bumper design with new fog lamps.
You can see the other changes around the car include ORVM-mounted turn indicators, new rear bumper, and chrome strip on the lid. Inside, the cabin company replaces the chocolate brown-and-beige color combo for a dual-tone black-and-beige color scheme. It loaded with features such as a 6.5 inch infotainment touchscreen system with MirrorLink, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS-guided navigation and reverse parking camera, electrically foldable mirrors, rain sensing wipers, and cruise control.
